Position Summary

As the Product Manager, you will work in a highly collaborative environment on-site at our Stratford, CT headquarters. You will assist with our product roadmap, strategy, and execution of our electronic controls used in commercial appliances. The Product Manager should be dynamic, action-oriented, and comfortable working on a team of on-site and remote collaborators. 

The Product Manager will report to the Vice President of Global Product Solutions & Innovation

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for defining product roadmap, timelines, priorities, planning, and driving the execution of the vision for the products.
  • Develop a clear product roadmap that outlines the company’s path in identified markets. 
  • Conduct surveys to gain insight into performance, product, and market opportunities.
  • Work with sales, engineering, and senior-level management to create, design, market, and deploy new products focused both at OEM and Aftermarket channels. 
  • Travel and cross-train with sales leaders on customer visits to assist in the selling cycle.
  • Possess business and engineering skills to strategize, drive, and bring the product to market.  Will work extensively with customers while working cross-functionally with Product Marketing, Engineering, Sales, and Partners to successfully prioritize features and develop the products that our customers need.
  • Translate business priorities into actionable and communicated product requirements. Write clear Product Requirement Documents (PRDs) backed by input from market research, customers, and sales. Includes technical writing for all sales and marketing collateral. 
  • Work closely with sales and customers to identify broad industry and product trends.

Required Education and Experience 
  • B.S. in an engineering field, Masters or MBA desirable.
  • Minimum of five years of product management experience, ideally having managed a complete product including features, pricing, licensing, and platform responsibilities.
  • Experience with manufacturing electronic/electro-mechanical product lines 
  • Excellent listening, oral, and written communication/presentation skills with a strong ability to influence people at all levels and in various functions.
  • Must demonstrate a passion for technology, product innovation, and a strong aptitude for business strategy.  Experience with M2M/IoT interfaces is desired.
  • Background in defining the Human Engineering and Graphical User Interface for a product.
  • Foodservice industry experience (Technical or Culinary) is a plus.
