Position Summary
The Sales Operations Manager will provide leadership and direction to the Sales Operations Group (SOG). This role will enhance team performance, drive operational efficiency, and foster a culture of collaboration and innovation within the team. The ideal candidate must possess strong administrative, organizational, and leadership skills and the ability to analyze and interpret complex business materials, including periodicals, journals, and regulatory guidelines. Ultimately, the goal of the Sales Operations Manager is to guide the SOG in adapting to industry changes, optimizing processes, and ensuring alignment with current business needs.
The Sales Operations Manager will report to the Chief Revenue Officer.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Sales Operations Group (SOG) team, providing tools, resources, and guidance to support sales representatives in engaging with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Align sales strategies with business objectives and develop plans to enhance sales performance.
- Analyze sales data to identify trends, forecast future sales, and make recommendations for improving team operations and driving outcomes.
- Oversee and maintain documentation on sales processes, business processes, and policies, ensuring efficient sales structure and funnel management.
- Work with cross-functional teams to support sales goals and facilitate seamless operations, including leading change management initiatives.
- Manage and support sales solutions and business systems that enhance sales operations and customer engagement, providing first-tier assistance for technical inquiries.
- Promote financially driven decision-making within the team, inspiring growth and accountability.
- Set a professional example for the team by engaging with customers and leading initiatives that elevate departmental standards.
- Commit to the continuous training and development of team members, fostering a collaborative environment that enhances individual and collective impact on the business.
Required Education and Experience
- Proficiency in HubSpot or a relevant CRM, including report building and basic system administration capabilities.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to analyze data and create presentations.
- Competent in Microsoft Outlook and Teams for effective communication and collaboration.
- Background in electronic component and hardware sales, with a solid understanding of sales processes specific to this sector.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; MBA preferred but not required.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in sales and/or sales management, demonstrating a proven track record of success.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities, with a focus on coaching and developing team members.
- Ability to analyze data effectively and make informed decisions to drive sales performance.
- Experience working collaboratively across departments to achieve shared business objectives.
