Position Summary
As a Senior Hardware Engineer at Kitchen Brains, you will play a pivotal role in developing innovative hardware solutions that uphold our reputation for excellence in the culinary technology industry. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our products as we continue to revolutionize food service operations worldwide.
As Senior Hardware Engineer, you will report to the Director of Hardware Engineering.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Design hardware for microcontroller-based controller systems.
- Design systems that meet product requirement specifications.
- Extensive knowledge of analog and digital embedded designs.
- Knowledge of Touchscreen designs and designs that incorporate touchscreen displays.
- Design IoT interfaces using Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Lora wireless interfaces.
- Plan and coordinate with testing agencies to meet industry standards (such as UL, ETL, and TUV.)
- Develop robust solutions that are tolerant of harsh environments and abnormal use cases such as shorts, EMC, ESD, and environmental extremes.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to investigate, root cause, and solve technical issues.
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical engineering.
- Master’s Degree or Computer Science degree is a plus.
- Able to stay abreast of new technologies and react to changes in a fast-paced environment.
- 5+ years of experience in design activities.
- Author electrical designs and schematics and apply the dFMEA method.
- Create circuit functions to meet normal, fault detection, and fault recourse functions.
- Experience with microprocessors, op-amps, power supplies, connectors, and multi-layer PCB layout best practices.
- Spice or other circuit simulations.
- Open/ short/ ESD/ EMC protection for both low-level signals and relay circuits.
- Must have launched products with PCBs into production.
- FCC, UL, IEC, CE, NSF Regulatory Requirements.
